Costco is well known for supplying its members with a alternate food selections. The membership wholesale club continues to lead the way by offering more healthy diet options than any other big-box chain.
Now it seems like they’re preparing to take diabetes head on.
The first step was to address the question: "What should I eat?"
In 2014, Costco partnered with health publisher CDiabetes to provide members with on-site diabetic nutritional shopping advice. The tour includes sharing a full list of products considered “diabetes-friendly” by doctors, pharmacists, and certified diabetes experts – free of charge.
Then in mid-summer 2015, Costco took an even more aggressive stance against the diabetes epidemic by adding non-pharmaceutical products known to reduce Type 2 diabetes.
